1. Data controller
The controller of the personal data obtained through cookies on this website is SifG22 (hereinafter "SifG22", "we" or "the site"), owner of the domain sifg.net and its associated subdomains (blog.sifg.net, help.sifg.net, etc.).
For any question about this policy, to exercise your rights or to make a complaint, you can contact us at support@sifg.net, through the help page or via the contact form.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files downloaded to your device (computer, phone or tablet) when you visit a website. They let the page remember information about your visit —such as your preferences or your session— and so improve your browsing experience.
At SifG22 we also use other similar technologies, such as localStorage, sessionStorage and, where applicable, pixels or tags. For the purposes of this policy, they're all covered by the generic term "cookies", following the criteria of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
3. Types of cookies
Cookies can be classified according to different criteria:
By who manages them
- First-party: sent and managed directly by SifG22.
- Third-party: managed by an entity other than SifG22 (analytics, social networks, etc.).
By purpose
- Technical or necessary: ensure basic operation (session, security, preferences). Exempt from consent.
- Preference: remember choices that personalise your experience.
- Analytics: measure how the site is used in order to improve it. Require consent.
- Marketing: deliver personalised advertising. Require consent.
By duration
- Session: collect data only while you're browsing. They're deleted when you close the browser.
- Persistent: the data remains stored for a defined period.
5. Consent and legal basis
The legal basis for processing data obtained through cookies is:
- For technical or strictly necessary cookies: the controller's legitimate interest in ensuring the site works correctly (article 22.2 LSSI-CE).
- For all other cookies: your explicit consent, obtained through the banner we show on your first visit. Consent is requested clearly, granularly (category by category) and with equally accessible accept, reject and settings buttons, in line with the guidelines of the European Data Protection Board and the AEPD.
No non-essential cookie is set before we obtain your consent. Continuing to browse, closing the banner without choosing, scrolling the page or any interaction outside the banner is NOT interpreted as consent.
6. How to manage cookies
You can accept them all, reject them all or set your preferences category by category from the banner shown on your first visit.
Your decision is recorded and you can change or withdraw it at any time just as easily as you gave it, by clicking in the footer, or right here:
From your browser
You can also manage or delete cookies from your browser settings. Here are the official links for the main browsers:
If you reject all cookies or block technical cookies from your browser, some features of the site may not be available or your experience may be degraded.
7. International data transfers
The cookies currently used are first-party cookies managed within the European Union and do not involve any international transfer of data to third countries.
If in the future we add third-party services that involve transfers outside the European Economic Area (for example, an analytics tool with servers in the US), this will be clearly stated in this policy, the appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR will be applied (standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, the Data Privacy Framework, etc.) and, where applicable, we'll ask for your consent again.
8. Retention period
The exact duration of each cookie appears in the tables in section 4. In general:
- Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser.
- Persistent cookies last a maximum of 12 months.
- Your cookie choice is kept for a maximum of 12 months; after that period we'll ask you again, in line with AEPD recommendations.
9. Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control
Some browsers can send Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. There is currently no universally accepted standard for interpreting them, so per se we don't treat them as a formal consent decision. However, we don't set non-essential cookies until you explicitly accept, so turning on DNT/GPC is always consistent with our default behaviour.
10. Your rights
As the data subject, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we process about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase data when it's no longer necessary.
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Port your data to another controller.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Not be subject to automated decisions with legal effects.
You can exercise these rights by writing to us at support@sifg.net or through the help page. We'll respond to your request within one month at most.
11. Changes to this policy
SifG22 may update this Cookie policy to reflect new legislation, case law or changes to its services. When changes affect your consent (for example, new categories or new third parties), we'll ask you again before applying them. The date of the last update is highlighted at the top of this page.
12. Contact and complaints
If you have any questions about this policy or about how your data is processed, you can write to us through any of these channels:
- Email: support@sifg.net
- Help page: help.sifg.net
- Contact form: About us
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, if you believe your rights have not been properly respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), the supervisory authority in Spain.
